RED CARPET: RapRise Presents ‘Class Act’ Concert

Last night the red carpet was rolled out for our first ever RapRise.com hosted concert. The headliner was none other than our ‘2011 Power PlayerJDrew. The occasion: the release of his recent mixtape ‘Director’s Call Presents: Class Act’, and his recent 21st birthday. Familiar faces were sprinkled throughout the sold out event. From Jasmine V. and his Team EGO, to the rest of ‘The Real Freshman Class’ (Crown Holders, LyriX, & G-3). It was definitely one for the books.

BEHIND THE SCENES: JDrew’s “Class Act” Video Shoot

Last night, RapRise was on set for JDrew‘s video shoot for “Class Act” featuring Briana Jean. This is the first single from his highly anticipated upcoming mixtape of the same name. The entire team EGO was on set, along with several other artists, including: Jasmine V., AJ Wils, Crown Holders, LyriX, Jinsu, and more. From what we saw, this video is going to be one for the books.

GBK’s AMA’s “Rock N’ Royalty’ Lounge

This past Sunday was the AMAs. But the festivities lasted the entire weekend. On Friday and Saturday, RapRise was invited to the GBK Productions gifting suite. We were able to catch performances from the only hip hop acts to perform at the event: JDrew, Crown Holders, LyriX, and G-3. All familiar faces to our site, so we were glad that we could catch them in action. They are starting to call themselves ‘The real freshman class’. After what we saw, we might have to agree.

  • What’s Your Name?

    Who are you? Really. Ask yourself that. The first step to making a presence is knowing who you are. The one thing that should always be consistent throughout your brand, (yes, you are a brand), is your name. Occasional name changes aside, your name always be the same. But when upcoming rapper, let’s call him “Kid Magic”, releases new music and his YouTube account calls him “K.I.D. Magic”, song title calls him “KidMagic”, Twitter calls him “Kiidd Magic”, and so on and so forth, how are his fans supposed to connect to his brand?
